You can now offer Brazil’s most common payment experience using Combo Cards with credit, debit, and installments through a built-in solution enabled by configuration.

Unlock Brazil’s preferred payment flow
In Brazil, most shoppers use “Combo Cards,” which support both credit and debit payments on a single card. Installments are also widely used with credit. Until now, enabling this flow required development from your POS provider. That changes today. With firmware version v119 or newer, all supported terminals in Brazil now offer an integrated Combo Card experience, with no integration required.
It’s built into your terminal
Whether you're using Verifone Engage or Castles Android terminals, the Combo Card flow is now embedded in the checkout experience. The terminal prompts shoppers to choose between debit or credit. If credit is selected, it then guides them to choose whether to pay in full or in installments. Everything happens on the terminal, no extra effort is needed from your staff or development team. This update also brings the Combo Card flow to standalone Castles Android terminals, expanding access beyond Engage devices and making this key local payment flow more widely available.
What to do next
Read the steps in our documentation to enable this feature. The flow is available as of firmware version v119 on all supported terminals in Brazil. Have questions? Reach out to your Adyen representative or contact Support.
