Make bank statements clearer for your shoppers
You can now send localized business names in Kanji, Katakana, Hiragana, or alphanumeric characters to Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Diners, and Discover. This means your Japanese shoppers will see familiar and recognizable names on their bank statements, creating a more transparent experience and reducing disputes or chargebacks.
Adapted for Japan’s local standards
This update helps you meet local expectations while maintaining trust at checkout. You can configure your localized shopper statement dynamically through our API or set a static value through Adyen Support.
How to enable localized statements
You can start using localized shopper statements today for your Visa, Mastercard, JCB, and Discover transactions in Japan. To enable this feature and see implementation details, visit Adyen Docs or contact your Adyen representative for support.
