Defend Accel chargebacks directly in Customer Area and API

You can now manage and defend Accel chargebacks through the Customer Area and Dispute API. This gives your teams more control over dispute management across supported US Debit payment methods.

Accel chargeback defense is now live

Customers using Accel can now defend chargebacks directly through the Customer Area and the Dispute API. This update extends chargeback defense capabilities across all supported US Debit payment methods and helps your teams respond to disputes through existing workflows.

More control over US Debit disputes

With Accel chargeback defense, your business can better protect revenue and reduce losses tied to disputed transactions. Your operations teams can manage disputes using the same tools and processes already used for other payment methods, without additional setup or support requests.

What you need to do

No action is required to enable this feature. If you are already onboarded on Accel, chargeback defense is automatically available for all new Accel chargebacks. Existing chargebacks will not become defendable retroactively. 

To get started, log in to your Customer Area or use the Dispute API. You can also review the Accel and STAR chargeback guidelines and dispute reason documentation in Adyen Docs.
