Announcing MED flow automation
We’re streamlining the chargeback process for Pix payments. With automated request handling, you can reduce manual effort and focus on what matters.
August 2024
Simplifying chargeback disputes We're automating the Mecanismo Especial de Devolução (MED) flow for Pix payments. MED, which translates to Special Return Mechanism, is a tool introduced by the Central Bank of Brazil to facilitate returning values in cases of fraud or operational error. With this update, whenever a chargeback notice is received, Adyen will automatically create a Request for Information (RFI) journal and mark it as Responded, reducing the need for manual intervention. Why Pix is essential for your business Pix is Brazil’s most popular instant payment method, enabling real time bank transfers with no card required. It’s widely used for online shopping and everyday transactions, making it a must-have for businesses operating in Brazil. Offering Pix can help you reach more customers, reduce transaction costs, and improve cash flow with instant settlements. Get ready for automation No action is required on your end. The automation will be applied automatically. Our documentation explains more about Pix and how it can benefit your business.
