A new version of the Checkout API
We’ve released version 72 of the Adyen Checkout API. Checkout provides a flexible way to initiate and authorize online payments across cards, mobile wallets, and local payment methods such as iDEAL and Sofort. This release focuses on improving payment flow reliability and helping teams detect issues earlier in the payment flow
Fewer avoidable payment failures and clearer validation
Checkout API v72 introduces stronger validation and clearer error handling to help you identify malformed requests before they affect payment flows. More accurate error codes improve observability and make retries and troubleshooting easier for your teams. The release also includes improvements to Sessions, stored payment flows, and partial payments.
Note: For Pix payments, the default session validity has been extended to 24 hours to help reduce shopper drop-off.
