Keep capture split processing aligned with your latest configuration
Captures on Balance Platform now use the latest active split configuration profile at the time of capture. This keeps capture split data up to date when your configuration changes between payment and capture.
October 2026

Apply your latest configuration at capture
When a capture is processed, Balance Platform always applies the latest active split configuration profile at that time. This applies even when your configuration hasn’t changed since the original payment, and means capture split data and additional data are determined at capture time.
Keep capture data consistent
If you send split data in the payment or capture request, it takes priority over your split configuration. Captures can also generate new split references and descriptions, even when your configuration hasn’t changed, which may affect reporting and reconciliation.
Review outstanding captures before rollout
If you have delayed or outstanding captures, review your split configuration and reporting processes, especially if you use generated split references for reconciliation. The change will roll out gradually.
