What is Adyen?
Adyen processes payments for online merchants such as Spotify, Groupon, Ticketscript, and many more.
We offer merchants the technology to accept payments from customers for their products or subscriptions worldwide.
As Adyen only offers the technical system for handling payments, for any questions related to your payment or order, you should contact the merchant where you made the purchase.
Why do I see a charge from Adyen on my bank statement?
Your bank statement may show Adyen instead of the actual name of the store. In some cases, it may display Adyen, combined with the store name.
Typically, within two working days, the bank statement will update to show the actual merchant.
If you are still not sure who requested the charge, we can help you identify the merchant.
Why was my payment refused?
If your payment was refused and the merchant can’t give you the reason why, you should contact your bank for the refusal reason.
I have a question about the status of my order or subscription, what do I do?
As Adyen only offers the technical system for handling payments, we don’t control the merchant’s delivery process.
The merchant can give you information on the status of your payment and the delivery of the goods/services.
I accidentally wire transferred money to Adyen, how do I get it back?
Accidentally wire transferred money to one of our bank accounts? No need to worry. When we receive funds that cannot be linked with a merchant, the funds are automatically transferred back to your bank account.
I did not make this purchase, what do I do?
If you do not recall making a purchase, check whether someone in your household has recently bought anything from the merchant in question.
If that’s not the case, contact your bank as they can advise you on how to proceed. If necessary, initiate a withdrawal process. Adyen is not authorized to do this on your behalf.
