Adyen, the global payments technology provider, has partnered with Ryanair to give Ryanair customers the option to use local payment method iDEAL to purchase flight tickets on the Ryanair.com website in the Netherlands.
The announcement marks the first time that Ryanair’s customers have been able to purchase tickets directly from the airline with iDEAL, which is significant because it is the most popular payment method in the Netherlands, accounting for about 60% of all online payment volume and 40% of payment volume in the travel industry. By providing iDEAL as a payment option, Ryanair and Adyen are improving the payment experience and giving customers in the Netherlands the choice to pay with the method with which they feel most comfortable.

Ryanair first partnered with Adyen in March 2014 to offer the option for Ryanair customers in Germany to purchase flight tickets with SEPA Direct Debit.
