AMSTERDAM, September 22, 2026 – Adyen N.V. (AMS: ADYEN) today announces the nomination of Niclas Neglen as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the statutory Management Board, effective February 1, 2027, subject to regulatory and shareholder approval.

Neglen joins Adyen from Klarna, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Before that, he was CFO and COO for EMEA at HSBC Private Bank, leading strategic corporate finance and operational transformation throughout the region. He also spent 13 years at General Electric in senior financial leadership roles across multiple global business units. Through his work in high-growth fintech and complex international financial institutions, he has built a track record that extends well beyond traditional financial steering.

"We’re excited to welcome Niclas to Adyen," says Pieter van der Does, co-founder and co-CEO of Adyen. "His experience lines up exactly with where Adyen is in its growth journey and what we were looking for in our next CFO. Beyond his track record, Niclas understands a company like ours. That's what gives us confidence he's the right fit for our business, our strategy, and our culture."

Niclas Neglen: “Adyen has built an exceptional business, and I believe there is tremendous opportunity still ahead. I’m excited to join the team and contribute to the next phase of its growth."

The Supervisory Board will propose his appointment as a member of the Management Board to Adyen's shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting, subject to regulatory approval by the Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank). The convening notice, agenda, and other meeting documentation will be published in due course.

"Hwa Tsao’s dedicated leadership keeps our finance organization operating at full strength. His oversight as interim CFO through February 1, 2027, will allow for a seamless transition before he resumes leading our finance operations as Senior Vice President of Group Finance," added van der Does.

Adyen confirms that there are no changes to standing financial objectives.
