The Technology Fast 50 Award Ceremony was held in ‘het Klokgebouw’ in Eindhoven yesterday evening. The fifty nominated technology companies came together at a gala dinner where they heard what place they had won. Adyen won the first place and is the fastest growing technology company in the Netherlands and Belgium. Improve Digital and GreenPeak Technologies finished in second and third place respectively, with growth rates of 8662 percent and 5340 percent.

Adyen is a company specializing in global, multi-channel payment solutions for online, mobile and face-to-face payments. Pieter van der Does, CEO of Adyen, stated: “This award is a boost for the entire company. Especially considering we are an international company and the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 enjoys a lot of international respect.”

Carlo Renne, partner at Deloitte and program leader of the Technology Fast 50, said the following: “Adyen delivers a great achievement with this growth and shows that leading technologies and innovations also result in great success during difficult times such as the current economic downturn.” Ten years ago Pieter van der Does, at the time CCO of Bibit, also won the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award. Renne continues: “The fact that this is the second time Pieter van der Does has won the award shows that he is a very important player in the technology sector. It’s an achievement he can be proud of.”
