Introducing Adyen’s Partner Program

They say it takes a village, especially when it comes to partnerships.

Great businesses aren’t built alone.

From helping merchants grow to driving revenue, success takes a village of collaborators, innovators, and solution-builders.

So, we're reimagining partnerships with our new partner program: a smarter, more connected way to grow together.

Here’s how it works and what sets it apart.

Why we built the Adyen Partner Program

Partnerships have always been key to how we support merchants. But their needs have evolved.

"Historically, partnership agreements are somewhat transactional," says Jose Sepulveda, Global Head of Adyen’s Partner Program.

The new program reflects a shift from limited, moment-in-time collaborations to strategic partnerships that scale.

"We've created a full-on partnership model that gives partners a defined journey for how they can grow with us," explains Jose.

"Our merchants succeed when they’re supported by a strong partner ecosystem—technologies and system integrators working together to solve problems.”

From pain points to progress: What partners need

Before launching the program, we spoke to dozens of partners.

"They told us there was no visibility of our product roadmap, unclear integration expectations, and limited knowledge of how to implement our solutions. Overall, our communication wasn’t as effective as it could be," Jose acknowledges.

Now, partners will have more visibility, more predictability, and clearer enablement pathways. For example, Premier Partners can access product roadmap updates, which will be shared bi-annually to help them prepare and align.

“And this is just the beginning. We’ll continue to iterate based on partner feedback, just as we did when building it. We asked over 30 partners from different countries and business models to get it right."

Partners deserve better: Here’s how we'll deliver

At Adyen, white-glove service is more than a phrase. It’s a principle. “Our technical support teams are intimately familiar with top integrations. If a merchant uses a plugin from a technology partner like Adobe, we understand the context and can triage accordingly. That means faster resolutions, fewer handoffs, and a partner who sees the big picture.” The program is structured across two tracks: Technology partners and Service partners.

Each track moves through a tiered journey based on the quality of integration, business impact, and alignment with our go-to-market strategy.

"We differentiate partners by the jobs they do for customers. Those who offer integrations or services we proudly recommend are recognized with partner badges. Then, as they grow, they can unlock tiers like Premier or Premier Plus."

Enablement is a key focus of the program, which includes self-paced commercial training. A technical training track is also being piloted.

"The technical training mirrors what our internal implementation managers go through. It ensures our partners are just as equipped to serve merchants effectively."

A new standard for partnerships

While the program’s framework isn’t radically different from others in the tech space, Jose is clear on what sets ours apart: collaboration.

"It’s how deep we go with our internal resources. The connection partners have with our commercial teams, technical teams, and product managers is something they value."

And as we expand into new areas like issuing and data, our partner ecosystem will grow with it.

After all, it's the program built to scale.
