Giving aid to refugees in crisis
The UN’s refugee arm provides aid to those who are suddenly and irrevocably displaced. Addressing those in crisis and ensuring people have what they need in both the short term–their basic needs–and in the long term, for instance when they look for work.
With companies struggling with covid and their corporate funds restricted, we needed to look for other stakeholders. And that is where Giving played a big role.
Your donation in action
During a recent campaign with H&M, the funds raised were directed toward two Ethiopian refugee camps, supplying families at the camp with tools to work in agriculture, and educating them on using natural resources available to them consciously. This is one project of many UNHCR runs that are funded by brand and corporate donations, allowing them to be active in many places around the world in crisis.
