UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, leads international action to protect people forced to flee because of conflict and persecution. Across 136 countries, we deliver life-saving assistance like shelter, water and other basic necessities; help safeguard fundamental human rights; and develop solutions that ensure people have a safe place to call home where they can build a better future.

With companies struggling with covid and their corporate funds restricted, we needed to look for other stakeholders. And that is where Giving played a big role.

Your donation in action

Your donation to UNHCR provides protection, emergency assistance, and critical support to families forced to flee in Ukraine, Sudan, Syria and beyond - wherever and whenever is needed most. Thanks to the funds raised through previous campaigns with merchants like H&M and UNIQLO, UNHCR was able to respond swiftly to emergencies, providing vital support to people forced to flee. This includes crises such as the war in Ukraine, the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria, the flooding in Libya, and often overlooked or underreported crises in Sudan and Yemen.
