Surfers Against Sewage create ocean activists everywhere for a thriving ocean and thriving people. A marine conservation and campaigning charity, SAS inspires, unites and empowers communities to take action to protect oceans, beaches, waves and wildlife.
The real-time dashboard is brilliant, it ensures we can forecast income from donations accurately, and then direct expenditure to those projects most in need, allowing us to have the most impact possible for the marine environment.
Your donation in action
In 2021, the SAS team helped to organize over 4000 beach cleans involving 140,000 volunteers. Donations are used to deliver beach clean kits that include litter pickers, first aid kits, gloves, sharps collection boxes, reusable sacks and hand sanitiser.
Donations will also support the Plastic Free School and Ocean School projects, which bring school children out to the beach, some of whom have never been before. While on the trips, the SAS Education team provide lessons, resources and equipment for the kids to learn more about the oceans and why we need to protect it.
