Adyen Affiliates & Sub-Processors

These terms set out the wholly-owned affiliates used by Adyen to provide the Adyen Services and the third-party sub-processors engaged by Adyen to supplement its data processing activities.
For purposes of these terms, “Agreement” may refer to your Merchant Agreement, Adyen for Platforms Agreement, AfP Agreement, MarketPay Agreement, Franchisor Agreement, or Payment Facilitator Agreement. “Merchant” refers to the Adyen customer, regardless of the specific designation used in the Agreement (such as Merchant of Record, Marketplace, Platform, or Payment Facilitator). Any other capitalized terms used but not defined in this form have the meanings given to them in the Agreement.

Adyen Sub-Processors
Adyen engages third-party sub-processors to supplement its data processing activities globally. A sub-processor is a third-party service provider that has, or potentially will have, access to or processes personal data on behalf of Adyen’s Merchants.

Commitment to our Customers
Security and privacy are foundational to Adyen. Before engaging any sub-processor, we conduct comprehensive security, privacy, and compliance assessments. All sub-processors are bound by strict contractual terms (including Data Processing Agreements and Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable) ensuring personal data is processed in full compliance with global data protection laws (such as GDPR). Updates to this Page
Adyen will notify merchants of any intended changes to its sub-processor list by periodically updating this page. Such changes will become effective thirty (30) days following the date of such update, unless otherwise provided in the Agreement, in which case the notice period in the Agreement will control. Merchants may submit a reasonable, written objection to any such change within thirty (30) days after such notification, unless a different objection period is specified in the Agreement. If a Merchant does not submit a timely and reasonable objection, its continued use of the Adyen Services will be deemed acceptance of the updated sub-processor list, as amended from time to time.
