The Group is aiming for smoother visitor flows across all the parks it manages at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve in the push to be 'smart zoos’.

Adyen (AMS: ADYEN), the global financial platform of choice for leading companies, today announced its appointment by Mandai Wildlife Group to power online and in-person payment experiences at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, home to Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, the River Wonders, and the recently opened Bird Paradise. “We’re excited to be the preferred payments partner for Singapore’s integrated nature and wildlife destination,” said Priyanka Gargav, Adyen’s Singapore Country Manager and Head of Commercial for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. “Large-scale tourist destinationsare often swamped when it comes to making sense of the sheer volume of customer information. By unifying data across different channels to a single platform with Adyen, they can spot clearer spending preferences by their customers to make informed decisions.” Through the use of Adyen’s solutions, Mandai Wildlife Group is expanding its reach and accessibility by enabling a wider range of payment methods. For instance, Chinese tourists can now easily purchase tickets to its wildlife parks through a WeChat mini program enabled by Adyen. Today, all major credit cards, as well as Alipay, UnionPay and WeChat Pay are accepted across all in-person sales touchpoints at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, enabling simpler and faster transaction experiences for guests. This includes retail shops, self-service kiosks at food joints, to mobile point-of-sale terminals that allow visitors to buy animal feed, amongst others. Sales transactions from all touchpoints feed into Adyen’s single platform, which helps the Group trace visitors’ journeys and spending patterns across different parks. These insights are vital in helping Mandai gain a more holistic understanding of their visitors and ultimately, shape strategic business decisions. Mandai Wildlife Group has always been committed to upholding strict security standards, including for payments. Through this partnership, Adyen handles the bulk of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) requirements by storing sensitive card details in a secure, PCI-compliant environment. This translates to lesser time spent on implementation and certification for PCI compliance by the Group, while still ensuring that they are ahead of increasingly sophisticated fraud attacks.
