Important Member Bank Responsibilities

  • The Bank is the only entity approved to extend acceptance of Card Organization products directly to a Merchant.
  • The Bank must be a principal (signer) to the Merchant Agreement.
  • The Bank is responsible for educating Merchants on pertinent Visa and MasterCard Rules with which Merchants must comply; Processor may provide this information to you as well.
  • The Bank is responsible for and must provide settlement funds to the Merchant.
  • The Bank is responsible for all funds held in reserve.

Important Merchant Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with cardholder data security and storage requirements.
  • Maintain fraud and chargebacks below Card Organization thresholds.
  • Review and understand the terms of the Merchant Agreement.
  • Comply with Card Organization rules.
  • Retain a signed copy of this Disclosure Page.

Merchant Resources

 The responsibilities above do not replace the terms of the Merchant Agreement and are provided to ensure the Merchant understands some important obligations of each party and that the Bank is the ultimate authority should the Merchant experience any problems.

Cancellation of contract and any applicable penalties

You may terminate this Agreement at any time by emailing a 60 day notice to your account manager or support@adyen.com. We may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason effective upon providing you notice in accordance with this Agreement. There are no penalties for termination. However, termination does not alter your liability for processed payments or related chargebacks.

Contactless payments acceptance

Contactless payments have been enabled at the point-of-sale for all payment networks referenced in the Agreement.

Refunds are treated similar to an authorized transaction, and therefore the same cost per transaction will be assessed on a refunded transaction as per Table 2 of the Fee Disclosure Box.

Each rate disclosed below is the sum of the network's interchange rate + network assessment fee + per transaction processing fees based on a CA$100. Scheme rates subject to change.

This table is for illustrative purposes only and is not intended to capture all possible payment card types or processing methods. It is intended to present price information for the most common type of domestic card transactions and processing methods available to merchants.

Rates may be lower based on custom or tiered pricing per transaction within your Master Service Agreement.
