Marketing Director, North America

As part of the global marketing team, the Marketing Director, North America will build and strengthen Adyen’s position as a market leader. The role will oversee and manage integrated marketing activities for the US and Canada.

The ideal candidate will be able to traverse a wide range of marketing programs with ease and fluidity, while providing guidance and mentorship across cross-functional teams. Integrated marketing experience, brand and messaging strategy, research experience and digital marketing know-how are a must. 

What you’ll do:

  • Inspire new thinking and creative ways to establish Adyen’s NA leadership position in the payments market
  • Originate compelling marketing strategies, programs and key messages across all sales verticals, while executing them flawlessly across multiple touch points, from awareness through to lead conversion and advocacy
  • Leverage market research and customer insights to inform new creative concepts, value propositions and messaging
  • Define KPIs, measure, and optimize integrated marketing efforts
  • Contribute to and manage 1st party research initiatives (strategy, approach, findings) and glean relevant data points through third party sources
  • Collaborate with cross functional marketing groups (PR, events, creative) to drive strategic marketing planning and execution
  • Manage a high-performance team
  • Collaborate with global teams to share knowledge, develop best practices and achieve efficiencies to contribute to a one-Adyen presence worldwide

Who you are:

  • 9-12 years of experience, B2B tech or payments experience
  • Excellent command of US English, experienced with US and Canada GTM
  • A creative thinker with demonstrated success in translating broad concepts and ideas into exciting, clear communications
  • A bias for action, results and delivery, with a high bar for quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, presentation and oral communication skills
  • Experience in managing external agencies and partners, as required
  • A sense of humor
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
