Events Lead, North America

Adyen is seeking an Events Lead for the US and Canada to build a holistic events program, including both owned and sponsored programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating memorable and engaging live experiences, will have a knack for seeing the big picture, the ability to set clear strategies and a steadfast approach to operational excellence.

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Inspire new thinking and creative ways to connect with customers at live events
  • Develop a cohesive events strategy aligned to key business objectives, covering a wide range of programs (Annual customer events, VIP events, trade shows, channel partner events, sales events, etc.)
  • Ensure consistent, on-brand messaging for all events
  • Oversee and tackle all aspects of event production from content and program development, design, AV production, vendor management, logistics, customer communications, promotions and more
  • Collaborate within marketing (PR, events, marketing, creative) to ensure events are tied to integrated marketing campaigns to maximize the impact of all events
  • Establish excellent working relationships with key partners in Sales, Account Management, Adyen leadership and other key stakeholder teams
  • Manage a team in the US
  • Regularly report business results and always be optimizing for effectiveness

 

Who you are: 

  • 8+ years of experience, B2B is a must
  • Impressive portfolio of events with proven business results
  • Highly personable and service focused
  • Ability to multi-task many events and projects at one time
  • Serious attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • A sense of humor, with a love to get your hands dirty
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
