Salesforce Commerce Cloud's Digital Store Solution (DSS) is an intuitive, easy-to-use tablet application that empowers store associates with comprehensive customer, product and inventory data to provide consumers with a higher level of service when shopping in store. Using the application, store associates can quickly access a customer’s profile, view past purchases and buying behaviour, as well as product inventory availability, and use that information to create a more personalized shopping experience that will increase both customer loyalty and revenue.

Adyen is the first payments company in Europe to integrate with Commerce Cloud's DSS.  Connecting to the Adyen global omnichannel payment platform, businesses gain the convenience and consistency of working with a single payments partner across all sales channels and regions.  Scaling internationally is made easy thanks to Adyen’s unique position as a global card acquirer, enabling merchants to accept all the major international and local cards at the point of sale in 27 countries in Europe and the US through one single technical interface and contractual agreement.

With the integration of the Adyen Shuttle mobile payment terminal into DSS, customers can enjoy the convenience of paying for their goods on-the-spot. Large or unwieldy items can be purchased in a store and shipped seamlessly to the customer’s home. The solution also reduces queues at the till, further boosting shopper satisfaction and enabling more efficient use of floor space.

Retailers are consolidating their digital strategies and realising the importance of consistency of experience and quality of service across all channels, whether online, in-store or via mobile device, as customers increasingly look to interact with brands over a range of channels at will.  Adyen, a Commerce Cloud's LINK Technology partner for more than four years, has a number of joint customers and with the extension into DSS, is now a Premier Partner.

“Quality experience for shoppers today means not only slick service, but more choice and immediate fulfilment of that choice. Online payment technology at the point of sale opens doors not only to a wide range of new services for shoppers, but also to process and organisational efficiencies and marketing opportunities for the merchant,” said Ad Arreman VP Global Strategic Sales, Adyen.  “We are proud to work with Commerce Cloud, the leading innovator in digital commerce solutions to enable retailers to fully capitalise on omni-channel initiatives, ultimately enhancing the shopping experience, increasing brand loyalty, reducing the possibility of walked sales and increasing revenue.”

“Adyen is a long time LINK partner and the new integration into DSS further deepens the relationship,” said Tom Griffin, SVP, corporate development, Salesforce Commerce Cloud. “The integration gives store associates the ability to complete sales swiftly and securely and enhance the customer shopping experience.”
