With this launch, Evernote’s mobile customers can now pay effortlessly with Alipay through a streamlined, mobile-optimized flow. Given that the Alipay payment tool is China’s most popular online payment method with hundreds of millions of users, this integration also provides Evernote the opportunity to grow its presence in China. Further, Adyen is implementing Alipay’s one-click mobile checkout for Evernote’s recurring users to further simplify the experience.

“After Adyen optimized our implementation of Alipay’s mobile checkout, our customers’ mobile experience has significantly improved, and we expect to see a corresponding increase in conversions, customer satisfaction and brand affinity,” said Linda Kozlowski, Vice President, Worldwide Operations at Evernote. “Adyen continues to provide us with the most advanced payment technology, which has been instrumental in Evernote’s growth internationally.”

With more than 630 million Internet users in China, according to CNNIC, and 83% of them accessing the web through mobile devices, simplifying mobile payments is crucial to converting online users into buyers.

“Adyen’s mission is to help global brands like Evernote increase their revenue by creating the most user-friendly and streamlined payments experience for their customers,” said Kamran Zaki, President, Adyen North America.

“As one of China’s most trusted and most widely used payment tools, Alipay always strives to enhance customers’ checkout experience,” said Jingming Li, Vice President and Chief Architect of Alipay International. “We are pleased to work with Evernote and Adyen to provide a seamless mobile checkout experience for Evernote users in China.”

In addition to China, Adyen has partnered with Evernote in over 40 countries around the world, to make it easier for Evernote’s users to pay in local currencies via both cards and local payment methods.
