We believe that consumers should use their preferred payment method wherever they shop, and that their experience should be as frictionless and pain-free as possible. This belief has driven our support for more than 250 payment methods around the world. And it is this philosophy that has helped Adyen merchants like Groupon, Airbnb, Yelp, and Indiegogo scale into new markets and increase conversion around the world.

Apple Pay is yet another step in the march toward a modern payments ecosystem - one that benefits both merchants and their customers. As long-time proponents of both tokenization and an omni-channel approach to payments, we’re excited to see the industry moving toward more secure, more mobile-friendly standards. Whether your customers are paying online, in a mobile app, at the cash register, or all of the above, we are ready to process all of your Apple Pay transactions. We are already working with key merchants to launch this service, and we are collaborating with Apple, the card schemes, and major merchants to ensure that our support for Apple Pay is best-in-class both in the US and internationally.

If you are a merchant interested in adding Apple Pay or other payment methods, please contact us. Or, if you’d like to learn more about Adyen’s approach to mobile payments in general, check out our quarterly Mobile Payments Index. In the meantime, we’ll be sure to keep you informed of any updates and trends in iOS payments following the consumer launch of Apple Pay. We look forward to hearing from you!
