Oetker Collection: Crafting a masterpiece guest experience
GO24 Fitness is Hong Kong’s very own 24/7 fitness lifestyle brand in the city that never sleeps. We speak with GO24’s co-founder Trudy Chan on how Adyen’s seamless payments make it easy for gym-goers to drop in, work out and get going.
“The vision behind GO24 Fitness is to create a welcoming community of people focused on fitness as a lifestyle. We do this by offering the highest quality environment, classes and equipment at an affordable price with maximum flexibility for members via no-contract and 24-hour access,” shares Trudy Chan, co-founder of GO24 Fitness.

“Hong Kong is a fast-paced and vibrant city. Its citizens are global, and expect the best in goods and services as and when they want them. Because GO24 is open 24/7, our customers can pop in at any time without feeling the pressure to shorten or delay a workout because of a gym’s closing hours.
The ability for our customers to purchase, and access a gym, whether online or offline, without having to wait for ‘traditional office hours’ access is critical.
Our locations of Tsuen Wan, North Point, Kennedy Town and Wong Tai Sin are chosen so there’s a GO24 nearby for the fitness community all over Hong Kong. Of course, we’re always on the lookout to add more locations to provide even greater convenience.
GO24 is unlike your typical gym membership that has long been associated with ‘hard-sell’ salespersons getting customers to commit to massive packages and long-term contracts upfront – a turnoff for many gym-goers today – so we want to break away from that. At the same time, we want to provide like-minded people with a place that the community can work out and smash fitness goals together!
The ability for our customers to purchase, and access a gym, whether online or offline, without having to wait for ‘traditional office hours’ access is critical. This sets us apart from other gym providers in terms of GO24’s enhanced customer experience.
Online payment is vital in expanding our business to reach customers who may want to purchase a membership online and instantly access the gym. Adyen, along with our gym software Perfect Gym, has enabled us to do all of that in real-time. Adyen’s integration with Perfect Gym has helped ensure a streamlined solution for us.
Adyen helps us with monthly subscriptions and one-time charges, giving GO24’s customers flexibility when it comes to membership payment.
Back in 2019, on top of offering online payments, we were looking for a payment processor for our POS payments in the gyms. I’m pleased to say that Adyen’s unified commerce solution has been a great fit. Since then, we’ve also enjoyed better efficiency on the reporting front.
Switching to Adyen had been easy too. Firstly, it’s transparent with its fees. Plus, once everything was set up, the integration is rather seamless – almost like a plug-and-play.
Unlike other 24/7 larger players, we’re not a franchise. We own our own gyms and the GO24 brand. Our entire business offering is built around our customers and being wholly-owned means we have better control and can provide a more consistent offering to our members.
Being a homegrown Hong Kong-based company, we are well-connected with customers, seeing them at all our various clubs – and understanding their fitness goals and lifestyle needs.
The majority of our members pay with credit cards and the role of payments is critical in ensuring our customers can pay on a timely basis, otherwise their ability to access the gym is compromised.
Adyen helps us with monthly subscriptions and one-time charges, giving our customers flexibility when it comes to membership payment. With real-time payment processing, we’ve also seen improvement in keeping bounced transactions to a minimum while increasing our bottom-line with a more cost-effective fee structure.
I’d say Adyen is a transparent, cost-effective payments provider – great for businesses with an online and offline presence – a partner that enables better business and user experiences.”
